Private Plans and InsurancePrivate Plans and Insurance

If  a patient has Private medical insurance or is willing to pay directly for private care, an operation on the heart can be arranged in a Private Hospital (for example – London Bridge Hospital) or in the Private wing of a NHS hospital (for example – Guthrie Clinic at King’s College Hospital).

The advantage of private care is that you can choose your Surgeon,  the timing of  your operation and the Hospital where you wish to be cared for.

I am recognised by all Private Insurance companies and am a BUPA Consultant Partner. My secretary will liase with the Insurance company on your behalf as needed.

Your insurance company may want to know about your planned operation so that they can pre-authorise your treatment. This authorisation may be needed for your admission to the hospital. The procedure codes for commonly performed heart operations are listed below.
